He was a unique individual and is hopefully in a good part of eternity with sweaters and shoes to sleep on and gets lots of petting. Although I didn't feel as if I had much choice in taking Dusty, he definitely became family to me.Ginanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33226151.post-52212617913429298712009-08-10T13:39:37.168-04:002009-08-10T13:39:37.168-04:00I'm so sorry, Gina. I was particularly moved by how your attitude change resulted in a loving cat.
At one extremely tense period with my teenage son, I tried something similar -- hugging him every day even when he made me so angry or hurt my feelings. He responded, barely, but it was enough to get us through a very difficult time. We too...Gina, I'm so sorry to hear about Dusty. We took in a stray cat we named Shadow that we had for about ten years. A couple of years ago, she went outside and never came back.

Now we have Layla. Her personality is the complete opposite of Shadow. Shadow was cranky and aloof (we had a lot in common). Layla is funny. Yesterday, I turned the air conditioning on for the first time this year. She didn't like the cold air blowing on her when I gave her dinner, so she took the food out of the dish and moved it away from the register. She's a good alarm clock, too.Joyce Tremelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00498392016497131719noreply@blogger.com
